Natural Gas
Natural Gas is the gas that comes from the town supply and is a highly efficient and cost effective solution for hot water heating.
If your home currently has an existing gas meter for other gas appliances then this system is for you. If you do not currently have an existing natural gas supply we suggest using LPG or contact Vector about costs of installing a gas meter.
For Natural Gas Systems we will supply you with:
- Continuous Hot Water Heater (Rheem or Rinnai)
- Pipes, valves and fittings
- Certificate of Compliance
LPG Installations
LPG can provide you with a highly efficient and environmentally friendly hot water system. LPG is a cost effective solution if your house does not have an existing natural gas supply or for rural applications where there is no town gas supply.
We will supply you with all the necessary material in order to provide you with an efficient LPG hot water system.
This includes:
- Continuous Hot Water Heater
- Changeover Regulator
- Pipes, valves and fittings
- $100 Elgas Credit*

Warning gas will run out soon met with scorn by industry
The plumbing and gas fitting industry is pouring scorn on claims that gas will run out soon in New Zealand and people need to think twice before buying gas-fired appliances.
The argument began when Consumer New Zealand warned that New Zealand natural gas reserves were forecast to last for only 10 years.
It suggested people should take this into account when buying gas heaters.
